Artist Statement:

As a sculptor and a licensed clinical therapist, my work in the studio and in counseling are mutually preoccupied with questions about mental health, resilience, and hope. Through found-object sculpture, assemblage and altered books, I engage generational stress, frustration and debt disillusionment. I am interested in the American dream, status anxiety and social mobility in the millennial generation. With satirical juxtapositions of objects, images, text, and wordplay, I examine self-actualization in today’s America.
